Energy Analyst

CES Engineering is currently seeking an Energy Analyst for the Energy Analysis Team. This position will involve conducting advanced energy and life-cycle calculations using a variety of software programs, to evaluate the energy efficiency of high performance buildings. The candidate will also be involved in projects to improve the energy performance of existing buildings. The position involves analyzing architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and control system drawings and specifications for a truly holistic perspective of what constitutes a high performance building. Ideally, the candidate will have a university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, will have knowledge of building mechanical and control systems, building constructions, heat transfer and thermodynamics, and will have experience using energy modeling programs such as EE4, eQUEST, IES-VE, TAS etc.

The appropriate candidate will have a professional work ethic, a clear enthusiasm for green buildings and sustainability, strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, and will be detail-oriented, motivated and a team player (i.e. a good listener and communicator). The position responsibilities and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
